Kate is one of the sassiest gals with the biggest heart that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.  When I was interning as a youth leader, Kate was one of the girls in my sister’s grade that I got to know really well.  She starting coming to our Davidson girl’s Bible study, and with time she starting coming to all of the retreats the youth group had to offer and joined the high school leadership team by her junior year.  She even went to Nicaragua on our missions trip last summer and I got to serve alongside her during our time there.
Something that’s funny about Kate (other than her humor – she is hilarious) is that upon meeting her you would probably never know she is a dancer.  And not just any dancer.  She is took home the 1st place title at nationals as the number one soloist and just this summer spent a week in NYC at Rockette Camp.  (And I’m sure she’s won TONS of other accolades I’ve never even heard about!)  She is so beautifully blessed by the Lord with grace, creativity, and strength that comes out in stunning expression through her dancing.  And she is so humble about it!  It blows me away.  I also love her heart for the Lord and her desire to know Him more deeply which I have had the pleasure of witnessing the last two years.  She is so special to me!
I love you Kate! Â Thank you for letting me create these beautiful portraits of you to celebrate your senior year. Â I cannot wait to see where the Lord leads you.
See you in Uganda!!!
